Arsenal have cemented their place in a Champions League spot and gained confidence ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game against AS Monaco. The Gunners, who included World Cup winners Mesut Özil and Per Mertesacker in their starting line-up, beat West Ham United 3-0 on Saturday.
They took the lead in first half injury time through Oliver Giroud. Second half goals from Aaron Ramsey (81’) and Mathieu Flamini (84’) extended their lead. Özil was brought off shortly before Flamini made it 3-0. Both Germany stars impressed.
