DFB head coach Horst Hrubesch will be without the services of Leon Goretzka and Willi Orban for the U21 European Championships in the Czech Republic between 17th and 30th June. He does not plan to call up players in their place for the training camp in Leogang, Austria between 2nd and 10th June.
Schalke man Goretzka did not yet have the fitness level required for the tournament following his lengthy injury. Kaiserslautern player Orban requested to be made exempt during a meeting with Hrubesch last week in Frankfurt due to personal reasons. DFB have accepted his request.
