New Treasurer and General Secretary announced

Dr. Stephan Osnabrügge is the Deutschen Fußball-Bundes’ (DFB) new Treasurer. The 45-year-old lawyer won the majority of votes from the 255 delegates at Friday’s extraordinary DFB congress in Frankfurt am Main. His processor, Reinhard Grindel, was voted in as the organisation’s new President at the same event.

“I would like to thank you all for putting your faith in me. I would like to build on the work of Reinhard Grindel in the coming years in order to ensure that the DFB continues to conduct itself in an appropriate manner,” he said after the news was made public.

Curtius is the new General Secretary

Dr. Friedrich Curtius’ appointment as General Secretary was officially ratified during the event. He initially took the position on an interim basis in March after Helmut Sandrock’s resignation.

Curtius has held various roles at the DFB since completing his Law degree in Heidelberg in 2006.
