Manuel Neuer of Bayern Munich has been voted Goalkeeper of the Year for the third year running. In a vote conucted by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), Neuer had 188 points, over 100 more than the next competetor, Gianluigi Buffon. Editors and experts from over 50 contries took part to vote the 29-year-old into top spot.
With his third triumph, Neuer overtakes the likes of Oliver Kahn, Walter Zenga and Jose Luis Chilavert. Only Buffon and Casillas have won the award more than him.
