Preparation for the U20 World Cup in Papa New Guinea is about to get under way. The DFB-Team are coming together for a training camp in Mönchengladbach in August (7th-13th). Head coach Maren Meinert has called up 25 players for the exercises, with a further nine remaining on standby.
The side will contest two friendlies during the camp. On 10th August (15:00 CEST) they travel to Belgium, before hosting Japan in Mönchengladbach two days later (16:00 CEST). The players on duty will be doing all they can to gain a place in the World Cup squad. This year’s tournament takes place in Papua New Guinea shortly before Christmas (13th November-3rd December).
