Marozsan returns, Rauch called up for first time

23-year-old Dzsenifer Marozsan has returned to Silvia Neid’s 22-player squad for the match against England (26th November, 18:00 CET) in Duisburg. The 1. FFC Frankfurt midfielder makes her return to the DFB squad after a lengthy stint on the sidelines through injury. Silvia Neid: "We are pleased that Dzseni is back again. She has an important role in our team with her creativity on the pitch. Even though she will need time to gather match practice after her injury, it’s important to have her back in the squad."

1. FFC Turbine Potsdam’s Felicitas Rauch has received her first ever nomination. The 19-year-old defender won the World Cup last year with the U20 side in Canada. Neid: "Felicitas is one of the talents that we have been eyeing up for a while. She developed very positively during the U20 World Cup last year, and deserves her call up." Alexandra Popp is not available, as the VfL Wolfsburg attacker is completing her final veterinary examination during the international break. Pauline Bremer and Almuth Schult miss out through injury.

Tough match against world class opposition

After an optimal start to qualification for the European Championships 2017 with four wins from four matches and 22 goals for and 0 against, the match against England, who finished third in the World Cup, will be the hardest challenge so far. Neid: "We are looking forward to a match played at a high level. England have undergone impressive development as a team, and I expect a very good side."
