Mario Gomez has come out on top in the Fan Club powered by Coca-Cola Man of the Match poll. The goalscorer, who made it 2-0 against England just after half time, was the Man of the Match in Berlin, beating Toni Kroos and Jonas Hector.
The Besiktas striker was unlucky to see his goal wrongly disallowed for offside in the first half, after finishing low past Butland for what would have been the first goal of the game. Later on, he showed his experience in the box, timing his run to perfection before planting the ball bottom corner with his head, leaving the goalkeeper stranded.
Gomez picked up 1,987 votes, Kroos 1,180 and Hector 783. In total, 5,210 votes were cast by fans.
