Löw watches Gomez score for Besiktas

Mario Gomez continued his good run of form in front of Germany's national team coach Joachim Löw during Besiktas' 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa Istanbul on Turkey's Süper Lig matchday 10. The former Bundesliga marksman bagged his eighth goal of the season, with Löw having attended the game just to watch the striker.

Oguzhan Özyakup's converted penalty in stoppage time of the second half ensured Gomez's Besiktas at least a point, who lead the table with a two-points advantage of local city rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

Rhodolfo and Gomez scored the other goals for the home side, and former Hoffenheim and Germany international Andreas Beck played the full 90 minutes. Ex-Bundesliga player Eren Derdiyok bagged a brace for Kasimpasa, with Ryan Donk also on target.

Trapp and PSG win in Rennes

Keeper Kevin Trapp and Paris Saint-Germain remain top of France's Ligue 1. The capital based club recorded a 1-0 victory at Stade Rennes on Friday evening, extending their lead at the top of the table to ten points over second-placed Angers SCO after just twelve games.

Angel Di Maria scored the game-winning goal following an assist by Lucas. On Tuesday PSG will be hosted by Real Madrid in the Champions League.
