Löw to release squad for final stage of EURO qualification on Friday

Just one more point is needed before Germany can book their flights to France for the 2016 European Championships. They have two opportunities to secure this final point – an achievable task. They will play on the 8th October (20:45 CEST) in Dublin against Ireland – opportunity number one. On the 11th October (29:45 CEST) they will have their second chance in a match against Georgia in Leipzig.

The preparations for these matches are starting to gather pace, and the squad needs nominating before the upcoming international break. On Friday the 2nd October, Joachim Löw will announce the players with whom he hopes to secure this elusive point (and hopefully a few more).

Frankfurt, Dublin, Leipzig and then France.

They squad will meet in Frankfurt on Monday the 5th October. The big domestic games between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, as well as Arsenal and Manchester United will be fresh in the memories, as they are due to take place the day before. The national squad will stay in Frankfurt until the 7th, before they board the Lufthansa flight to Dublin at 11:00 on the Wednesday. The final training session will take place early that same evening, before they face Ireland on the 8th (29:45 CEST) in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

They will return to Germany the following day, on a morning flight from Dublin to Leipzig landing at 14:30. They will then train on the 10th October, with the final session planned for the Saturday at 17:30 in the RB Arena in Leipzig. The final EURO 2016 qualifier will take place on Sunday at 20:45 CEST in the Red Bull Arena. All things going well, just a stop-off on the way to France.
