Löw to announce squad for games against Gibraltar and Spain on Friday

There’s still two more games left in the World Cup winning year: Germany manager Joachim Löw will announce his squad for the both the European Championship qualifier against Gibraltar in Nuremburg on 14th November (20:45 CET) and the friendly against European Champions Spain in Vigo on 18th November (CET) on Friday at a press announcement.

Ahead of the home game and the game against their predecessors for the World Cup, the Germany team will take part in an extraordinary event in their build-up. The players will train in Berlin on Monday lunchtime, before being awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by the President of Germany, Joachim Gauck, at Bellevue Palace at 14:00 CET.

After receiving the award, the team will then be able to enjoy another event in the evening: the premiere of the film “Die Mannschaft.” The players and coaching staff will be able to watch the whole 90 minutes of the film for the first time, bringing back all the memories from their triumph in Brazil.

Training, press conferences and travelling

The first training session for the team will take place on Tuesday at Hertha’s Amateurstadion. At lunch time on that day, there will be a press conference. On Wednesday, the events will then repeat themselves: after a press conference, manager Joachim Löw and his assistant Thomas Schneider will lead the second training session.

On Thursday 13th November, the national team will depart for Nuremburg. The last press conference before the game against Gibraltar will be in the early afternoon on Thursday. The final training session before the European Championship qualifier is scheduled for 17:30 CET. The team will get used to the conditions at the Grundig stadium before the game against Gibraltar kicks-off at 20:45 on Friday 14th November.

On the morning of Monday 17th November, the team will begin their flight from Munich to Vigo. The current World Champions will then play the current European Champions at the Balaidos stadium on Tuesday 18th November, with kick-off at 20:45 CET.
