Löw: "Most of it was good, but not all"

Die Mannschaft confidently strolled past Azerbaijan on Sunday night to record a fifth straight win in Qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

National coach Joachin Löw saw a lot of good in the 4-1 win in Baku, but also thought there was room for improvement.

Joachim Löw: I’m overall satisfied with the performance. This team had not played together for a while, and a lot of play was very good. But there were times when what we were trying did not work.

Andre Schürrle: That was a hard workout. We were often a little bit slow to get the tackles on. But we were there at the right times to finish things off.

Mats Hummels: We let them come into the game more than we should have. We were a little bit arrogant at times, and that was not good to see. As a result we made the game a lot harder for ourselves than we should have.
