Löw gives players day off: “Workload and pressure were very high”

One day after the second EURO 2016 group game against Poland, Germany will take to the pitch at 17:15 on Friday evening for a recovery session. The training is open to media representatives for the first 20 minutes.

The players have been given the day off on Saturday. Joachim Löw said: "We have been together for almost four weeks and the workload as well as the pressure have been very high recently. And we will of course continue to work on details for Tuesday’s game. But for me, it’s important that the players can unwind and clear their heads."

General manager Oliver Bierhoff and assistant manager Marcus Sorg will face the media in Saturday’s press conference. The next training session in Evian is scheduled for Sunday evening. Joachim Löw’s team will travel to Paris on Monday ahead of their last EURO 2016 group game against Northern Ireland on Tuesday (18:00 CEST).
