Löw & Co. hit the road scouting for EURO 2016

The 2016 European Championship in France kicks off in nearly four months (June 10th-July 10th), where the World Champions and their manager Joachim Löw aim to raise the Coupe-Henri-Delaunay trophy into the Paris skies. But which players can the coaching staff of Die Mannschaft rely on 100 per cent? Who is fit for the major tournament? Joachim Löw and his coaching team are often on the road these days in order to get an impression of their candidates.

The weekend kicks off with the Bundesliga encounter between TSG Hoffenheim and 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday (15:30 CET). DFB assistant coach Thomas Schneider is travelling to Sinsheim to observe the action. At the same time, Löw and DFB chief scout Urs Siegenthaler will be in Berlin to watch Hertha BSC welcome VfL Wolfsburg to the capital.

Sunday features a top fixture with Bayer Leverkusen hosting Borussia Dortmund (15:30 CET). Löw and Siegenthaler will be accompanied by goalkeeping coach Andreas Köpke in the BayArena. Schneider, meanwhile, will attend the encounter between FC Schalke 04 and VfB Stuttgart in Gelsenkirchen (17:30 CET).

But that’s not all. With the Champions League knockout stages continuing on Tuesday, Löw and Köpke will travel to London for Arsenal’s encounter with FC Barcelona (20:45 CET). Simultaneously, Löw’s assistant Schneider will be in Turin to scout record Bundesliga champions FC Bayern as they take on Juventus.
