Liverpool dazzle in 4-0 victory over Arsenal

German international Emre Can and Liverpool remain undefeated in the Premier League, thanks to another strong performance on Sunday. The Champions League qualifiers beat Arsenal 4-0, ending matchday 3 second in the table. The gunners and World Cup winner Mesut Özil have only won one game to this point, and now languish in 16th place.

Roberto Firmino (17'), Sadio Mane (40'), Mohamed Salah (57') and Daniel Sturridge (78') all bagged goals for the home side, while Emre Can was subbed off in the 84th minute. Özil played the whole game for the Londoners, while teammate Shkodran Mustafi sat on the bench, and didn’t see the pitch.

Rüdiger and Chelsea gain momentum

England’s reigning champions and Confederations Cup winner Antonio Rüdiger are slowly gaining momentum. The Londoners claimed a 2-0 victory against Everton, moving up to sixth place in the table after their second win.

Cesc Fabregas (27') and Alvaro Morata (40') secured the three points for the home side before the break, and looked very calm defending their lead. Rüdiger played all 90 minutes for the blues.

Real Madrid let points slip

Reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid suffered their first setback of the season this weekend. With star man Cristiano Ronaldo banned, they could only manage a 2-2 draw with Valencia, despite Toni Kroos being named in the starting XI.

Ronaldo’s replacement Marco Asensio gave Real the lead early in the 10th minute, before Valencia seized back control thanks to goals from Carlos Soler (18’) and Geoffrey Kondogbia (77’). Asensio equalised in the 83rd minute however, forcing both teams to share the spoils.
