Mario Gomez has to make do with a spell on the treatment table for a few weeks with Italian top-flight side AC Fiorentina. According to the club, the Germany striker suffered a ligament injury in his ankle during Fiorentina's 2-1 win over Champions Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg.
Gomez will be out for at least two weeks and will miss the league clash against World Cup Winner Miroslav Klose (Lazio) on Monday. Gomez has previously impressed for Fiorentina by netting six goals in seven games.
