Bayern’s star striker Robert Lewandowski heads the Poland squad nominated for the upcoming European qualifier against World Champions Germany next Friday (20:45 CEST). Poland manager Adam Nawalka also named five other Germany-based players in his 26-man squad.

Pawel Olkowski and Slawomir Peszko from 1. FC Köln, Dortmund duo Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski and Stuttgart keeper Przemyslaw Tyton are the other Bundesliga players called up to the Poland national team, which features other big names such as Europa League winners Sevilla’s Grzegorz Krychowiak, AS Roma keeper and Arsenal loanee Wojciech Szczesny and former Leverkusen and Augsburg striker Arkadiusz Milik of Ajax.

The game against the current group leaders will be a vital one for Die Mannschaft in terms of qualification for EURO 2016.
