Lewandowski extends contract with Bayern until 2021

FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN: Goal machine Robert Lewandowski has extended his contract with FC Bayern München until 2021. His contract was originally due to run out in 2019.

Lewandowski moved to FC Bayern München on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2014. Since then, the Poland international has scored 89 goals in his 122 appearances for the club. Lewandowski was top scorer in the Bundesliga last season with 30 goals.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti can once again call upon the services of Mats Hummels for his team’s match away to SV Darmstadt 98 on Sunday (15:30 CET kick off). The centre back had been absent with illness but was back in full team training on Tuesday after having missed Bayern’s 5-0 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Ancelotti can go into Bayern’s final two games before the winter break with an almost full squad. The only reported absences are Kingsley Coman and Julian Green as Bayern prepare to face Darmstadt on Sunday and RB Leipzig on 21st December.
