Germany will be taking part in the SheBelieves Cup between 3rd and 9th March, but there has been another squad update. Melanie Leupolz will not be able to make the trip due to an ankle injury. The Bayern midfielder has been replaced in Neid’s squad by FFC Turbine Potsdam’s Svenja Huth. In the tournament, DFB Women will come up against World Cup and Olympic Games winners USA, France and England.
Leupolz is just one of seven players missing out on the competition. Bianca Schmidt, Jennifer Cramer, Pauline Bremer and Felicitas Rauch all have knocks, while Simone Laudehr has an exam that interferes with the trip. Lena Lotzen is only just returning to Bayern training.
