Last minute victory for Khedira and Juve

Germany international Sami Khedira and Juventus Turin took another big step towards defending their title in Italy’s Serie A, winning 2-1 against AC Milan on matchday 28 and, at least temporarily, extending their lead at the top to eleven points.

Medhi Benatia, on loan from FC Bayern, fired Juve into the lead after 30 minutes, before Carlos Bacca levelled with two minutes left to play in the first half. But the table-toppers edged out Milan with the last kick of the game, as Paulo Dybala converted a penalty deep into added time.

Sami Khedira plays full 90 minutes

World Champion Khedira was in action for the full game, pulling the strings in midfield alongside Miralem Pjanić. On Tuesday, Juventus will host FC Porto in their Champions League round of 16 second leg, having secured a 2-0 victory in Portugal.
