Kroos, Can and Klopp return to Germany

Today marks the start of an important week for Germany internationals in Europe. Fans have the first legs of quarterfinals to look forward to, both in the Champions League and the Europa League.

Champions League: VfL Wolfsburg and Bayern München are the two German representatives still in the competition. Mario Götze, Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller are expected to be in action against Benfica tonight, and VfL Wolfsburg have a home match against Real Madrid to look forward to on Wednesday evening. André Schürrle and Julian Draxler will meet up with Die Mannschaft colleague Toni Kroos at the Volkswagen Arena. Marc-André ter Stegen faces Atletico Madrid with Barcelona, and Kevin Trapp and PSG come up against Manchester City.

Europa League: After Bayer Leverkusen bowed out of the competition against Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund are the only Bundesliga club left. In the quarterfinal, Mats Hummels, Marco Reus & Co. face Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, which saw off Manchester United in the previous round. Emre Can is expected to start for the northern English club.
