Kimmich voted Germany's 'Man of the Match' against Denmark

He ran, he crossed he slid - and rounded out his evening with a wonderful overhead free kick on Tuesday night against Denmark. Joshua Kimmich was without a doubt the man of the hour in Copenhagen.

Now the FC Bayern Munich star has now been voted the Man of the Match in a poll by the German National team’s Fan Club powered by Coca Cola.

The 22-year-old received 47% of the votes, beating Schalke’s Leon Goretzka (19%) and PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp (15.7%) to win the accolade.

Trapp was one of six debutants in Joachim Löw’s fresh and experimental side ahead of this summer’s Confed Cup in Russia.
