World Cup winner Sami Khedira played a big part in Italian champions Juventus’ 7-0 win over Sassuolo by bagging a brace and an assist. The 30-year-old midfielder started by finishing off a corner from short range in the 24th minute, before scoring in a one-on-one situation a few minutes later (27’). He’s now scored six goals this season.
Khedira also set up Juventus’ fourth goal by Miralem Pjanic (38’). All the other goals that the “old lady” came courtesy of Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain, who scored a hat-trick (63’, 74’, 83’).
Thanks to the win, Juventus have overtaken Napoli at the top of the Serie A with 59 points. Napoli can regain the top spot with a win against Benevento later today, however.
