Khedira and Juve come from behind to win

Sami Khedira helped Juventus to their second victory of the season, despite trailing 2-0. The reigning champions went on to beat FC Genoa 4-2 and took over first place in the Serie A table.

An own goal from Miralem Pjanic in the first minute, followed by a converted penalty from Andrej Galabinow in the 7th, made sure that Juventus were stuck in an early 2-0 hole. However, Paulo Dybala responded with a first half brace to make the scores level. Juan Cuadrado and Dybala ensured the victory for the visitors with goals in the second half.

Barca and Ter Stegen celebrate their second victory

FC Barcelona have won their second game in the Bundesliga with Confederations cup winner Marc-André ter Stegen playing a goal. The Catalonians won on matchday 2 against Deportivo Alaves 2-0. In their opener the week prior, they beat Real Betis 2-0 as well.

After Lionel Messi missed a penalty in the 39th minute, the Argentinian bounced back with a brace to lead his team to victory as well as second place in the table, only behind Real Sociedad.

Sané is subbed in late for City

The four-time English champions Manchester City narrowly avoided a second setback of the season against AFC Bournemouth. Raheem Sterling scored seven minutes into a hectic period of added time to make it 2-1 to ex-Bayern manager Pep Guardiola’s team. Thanks to his celebration however, Sterling was given a second yellow card for his celebrations and dismissed from the game.

German international Leroy Sané had been subbed on shortly before. The ex-Schalke man came on for Gabriel Jesus in the 82nd minute, who equalised for his side in the 21st minute after Charlie Daniels opened the scoring for Bournemouth in the 13th minute. Ilkay Gundogan took part in a development match after recovering from his torn ACL, and was not named in the squad. On matchday 2, City drew with Everton 1-1.
