Keßler and Müller on UEFA Best Women’s Player in Europe shortlist

Three players from Champions League winners VfL Wolfsburg have been shortlisted for UEFA’s Best Women’s Player in Europe award. Germany’s Nadine Keßler and her former international team-mate Martina Müller have been nominated alongside their Swedish colleague Nilla Fischer in the poll conducted by European football’s governing body. Last year, national team goalkeeper Nadine Angerer was the inaugural recipient of the accolade.

Last season, the Wolfsburg trio defended their European crown as well as winning the German championship. The final vote will be held in Monaco on 28 August as part of the draw for this season’s Champions League.
