It looks as if Juventus will have to go without World Champion Sami Khedira for their Champions League last-16 first leg against Bayern München on 23rd February (20:45 CET). As confirmed by the record Italian champions on Tuesday, the 28-year-old midfielder suffered a groin injury in Sunday’s 4-0 Serie A win over Chievo Verona. The club expect him to be sidelined for “two to three weeks”.
It’s already Khedira’s third injury this season following a muscle strain in August and thigh problems in November.
