Ingolstadt beat Leverkusen 2-1 for second consecutive win

FC Ingolstadt celebrated a second consecutive win on Sunday. After beating then league leaders RB Leipzig 1-0 last weekend, the relegation-threatened side ground out a deserved 2-1 away win over Bayer Leverkusen. For new manager Maik Walpurgis it was a third win in five games at his new club.

Alfredo Morales fired the visitors in front with his first goal of the season midway through the first half. Admir Mehmedi pulled Leverkusen level in the 63rd minute, but Almog Cohen clinched the win for Ingolstadt just ten minutes later, inflicting a third home defeat of the season for the Werkself, who went down to ten men after Charles Aranguiz picked up a second yellow card early in the second period.
