There has been a change of personnel for the national team’s coaching staff. Nicklas Dietrich and World Cup winner Jochen Hahne have joined the backroom staff. The Bayern Basketball physio will join forces with Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, Sepp Schmitt and Tim Meyer, and will travel to home and away games with the national team. Along with his national duties Hahne will remain in charge of the medical team at FC Bayern Basketball.
There is also a new fitness coach. The long serving fitness coach Shad Forsythe has gone to Arsenal, and Nicklas Dietrich has joined the national team to replace him. Dietrich will be working alongside Benjamin Kugel, the fitness coach for Köln who was in action at the World Cup. Dietrich is currently at 2. Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and, like Benjamin Kugel, has been given permission by his club to work with the German national team.
