Current Premier League leaders Manchester City have reached the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to strong performances from Germany internationals Leroy Sané and Ilkay Gündogan. City beat league rivals Burnley F.C. 4-1 and the German duo were involved in all four goals.
Burnley took the lead in the 25th minute through Ashley Barnes, but Sergio Agüero scored twice in quick succession (56’, 58’) to get City back in the game. Gündogan provided both assists for his goals. Sané scored the third goal for City in the 71st minute and later provided the assist for Bernardo Silva to score the fourth (82’).
