The groups for the UEFA Nations League will be drawn in the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne on 24th January 2018 at 12:00 CET. A German delegation, lead by DFB president and UEFA vice president Reinhard Grindel, will be present at the event. DFB general secretary Dr. Friedrich Curtius, national coach Joachim Löw and DFB business manager Oliver Bierhoff will accompany him. In addition, the competition’s cup will be unveiled at the event.

Will the event be broadcasted live?
Yes. UEFA will broadcast a live stream of the draw on UEFA.com.
Which countries could each team be drawn against?
The allocation of the 55 participating nations was made according to each country’s UEFA coefficient ranking (1st to 12th in League A, 13th to 24th in League B, 25th to 39th in League C, 40th to 55th in League D). Within each league, teams were divided into three (in Leagues A and B) or four (Leagues C and D) pots, again determined by their ranking.

What is the procedure for the draw?
The draw begins with League D and pot 4, in which there are four balls. The respective teams will be placed into groups D1 to D4. Pots 3, 2 and finally 1 will then follow. The draw for the other leagues will follow the same pattern, but there will be no team in group C1 from pot 4 and the groups in Leagues A and B will be formed of only three teams.
Are there any restraints?
The following teams cannot be drawn into the same group:

League D: Armenia / Azerbaijan
