Greuther Fürth come a little closer to Bundesliga

However, promotion is one step further away for 1. FC Kaiserslautern, as they were held to a 1-1 at home by relegation-threatened VfL Bochum and dropped to sixth place. Karlsruher SC passed their rivals after a 3-0 at 1860 München. 1. FC Union Berlin suffered another defeat in their away trip to Erzgebirge Aue, ending their dreams of promotion for good.

Leaders 1. FC Köln are still on the right track towards the Bundesliga. The team of coach Peter Stöger won 2-0 against Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday. Köln have nine points advance to contenders Greuther Fürth and SC Paderborn (both 49 points). St. Pauli took the chance to bridge the gap to the top teams when they played 3-2 at SV Sandhausen.
