Gnabry on target in Werder’s 2-2 draw at HSV

Led by Germany international Serge Gnabry, SV Werder Bremen managed to secure a point in their northern derby with Hamburger SV. The 21-year-old played a key role in the 2-2 draw on Bundesliga matchday 12. One week after winning 1-0 against FC Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund suffered a set-back as they lost 2-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt. Borussia Mönchengladbach and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim shared the points in a 1-1 draw, which is the same result that separated FC Ingolstadt and VfL Wolfsburg. Another draw was produced by 1. FC Köln and FC Augsburg, as they played out a goalless draw.

Hamburger SV took the lead twice against Bremen, but still had to settle for a draw in the end. Michael Gregoritsch opened the scoring after just three minutes, but Bremen were level ten minutes later through Fin Bartels. Gregoritsch added a second goal to his tally after 28 minutes, but Germany international Gnabry scored late in the first half to tie the game and ultimately secure a point for Werder.

Frankfurt’s Huszti stuns BVB

Szabolcs Huszti was the match-winner for Eintracht Frankfurt in their game with Borussia Dortmund. He scored the first goal himself and assisted Haris Seferovic for the second goal. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had temporarily levelled for BVB, but Frankfurt struck back and kept the three points at home.

For the second time this season, 1. FC Köln dropped points at home in the low-key affair between them and Augsburg.

Wolfsburg earned themselves a point in Ingolstadt after Anthony Jung had given the hosts a first half lead. Daniel Caligiuri goal after 78 minutes allowed the Wolves to take home a point.

Mahmoud Dahoud scored his first goal of the season for Borussia Mönchengladbach as they took the lead against Hoffenheim, but a strike from Nadiem Amiri eight minutes into the second half meant that this game also ended in a draw.
