Gnabry on season-long loan to Hoffenheim

U21 European Champion Serge Gnabry will not be a part of record champions Bayern Munchen’s squad next season. Instead, the 22-year old forward has been loaned out for one season to Europa League participants 1899 Hoffenheim.

Gnabry joined FC Bayern for eight million Euros from Werder Bremen this summer, and he signed a three-year deal with the defending champions. “Serge explicitly stated that he wanted to be loaned out for a year in order to accrue more match experience. That’s something I think that will be guaranteed at a high level with Hoffenheim,” said Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
