Gladbach jump on third place

In the last match of the year Borussia Mönchengladbach played 2-2 (0-0) against VfL Wolfsburg top jump on place three. Wolfsburgs Diego opened the scoring, but Rafael and Juan Arango turned the game around for the hosts. Just before the end it was Bas Dost, who scored the late equaliser.

Eintracht Braunschweig left rock-bottom after a hard-fought 1-0 (1-0) against 1899 Hoffenheim and Hamburger SV slip deeper into danger after a 2-3 (1-0) loss at home to FSv Mainz 05.

The evening match on Saturday between 1. FC Nürnberg and Schalke 04 ended in a goalless draw, making Nürnberg the first team in Bundesliga history not to win a single match in the first round of the season.

Eintracht Frankfurt has ended the first round of the Bundesliga with a 1-1 (1-1) against FC Augsburg, waiting for their first home win of the season. Raul Bobadilla scored the lead for the guests, Jan Rosenthal levelled the score just before half-time.

Bayern München is playing on Wednesday the 29th January against VfB Stuttgart because of their matches at the Club World Cup in morocco.
