Germany’s Women’s Team to play Brazil in Fürth

Germany’s Women’s team will continue their preparations for the World Cup in Canada by playing in a friendly match in Fürth on 8th April. The match was decided by the DFB board at a meeting in Frankfurt. Silvia Neid’s team will meet Brazil at the Stadion am Laubenweg and the kick-off time is not yet known.

Neid said: “We are happy that we are playing a world-class opponent in Brazil, as they are one of the favourites for the World Cup. The Brazilian players have outstanding technical skills individually and, in Marta, they have an extraordinary good attacking player. I am expecting an exciting game of the highest quality.” The World Cup preparations properly begin on 18th May and another international match is planned for then.

Germany’s Women’s team are scheduled to travel to Canada on 31st May for the World Cup, which will take place in six Canadian states between 6th June and 5th July 2015.
