Germany Women’s Team ranked second in world again

Irrespective of their quarter-final exit in the European Championships this year, the Germany Women’s national team are second once again in the FIFA World Ranking. The team at the top has not changed either as that title belongs to the USA still.

Following their victory in the European Championships, the Netherlands have risen from twelfth to seventh place. Runners up Denmark have climbed from 15th to 12th and England are now third courtesy of the side reaching the European Championships semi-final.

The Germany Women’s national team will get their new season underway on 16th September with a World Cup qualification fixture against Slovenia in Ingolstadt. Three days later, the Olympic champions will face Czech Republic.
