Germany rolls over Kazakhstan for historical win

It was a historical day for the german women beating Kazakhstan 17-0 (10-0) in their third game of the qualifying round for the european championships in 2013. Never before, a german women team had a higher win against any opponent. Celia Okoyino da Mbabi and Alexandra Popp scored four goals apiece.

Head coach Silvia Neid was very happy with the performance of her team: "There is no reason for any criticism today." After the third win in as many games in the qualifying round, Germany travels to Spain on thursday for the clash of the two so far unbeaten teams in their group.

Babett Peter scored three times, substitute Martina Müller and Simone Laudehr had two goals and Melanie Behringer and Fatmire Bajramaj added one also.

Germany found its rhythm quickly and was up by six goals after only 16 minutes. Kazakhstan was completely ran over in the first thirty minutes, before Germany slowed down a little bit, without losing its swagger and eagerness to continue to score.
