Germany defend FIFA rankings crown

World Champions Germany will stay top of the FIFA World Rankings for the month of June. The DFB-Team currently sit first with 1,775 points, which is over 250 points more than second-placed Belgium. Argentina are in third place with 1,496 points. Germany have been leading the rankings since lifting the World Cup in Brazil last July.

Celebrating a return to the top-ten are former World Champions France, who sit ninth with 1,164 points. Meanwhile, Spain replace Switzerland, as the 2010 World Cup winners round off the top ten with 1,147 points, one more than the Swiss.

Madagascar climbed the highest as their tally of 278 points saw them jump from 150th to 113th. The USA went from 28th to 27th as they prepare to take on Jogi Löw’s team next Wednesday.
