Germany claim a 3-1 victory

Meikel Schönweitz’s side won their second game of the U17 European Championship, which is currently taking place in Azerbaijan. They beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 in Baku, just two days after they opened up with a 2-2 draw against Ukraine. They fell behind early on, however, a goal from returning skipper Atakan Akkaynak (17’) and Yari Otto’s brace (66’/72’) won the game for the DFB Team.

Germany are now second in Group B (4 points) – Austria top the chart (6 points). These two sides face off on Wednesday afternoon (17:15 CEST). Schönweitz’s men need just a draw to reach the next stage of the competition.
