German women coming up big late

In their last friendly before opening game of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 in Germany the german team won 3-0 (0-0) against Norway. After a scoreless first half, Germany continued its run towards the opponents goal until their finally scored in the 79th minute.

Simone Laudehr and two following goals by Alexandra Popp (80./82.) secured the win against the former world champion in Mainz. The german squad dominated the whole game, but wasn't focussed on offense for the most time of the match.

On June 26th, Germany opens up the World Cup in Berlin against Canada.
