German women beat Canada 5-0

The German women beat Canada in an international friendly 5-0 (1-0). In front of 20,431 fans at the Rudolf Harbig Stadium in Dresden German player of the year Inka Grings scored the 1-0 at seconds minute by a penalty. Germany dominated throughout first half but failed to expand the lead.

In the second half Fatmire Bajramaj (54.), Alexanda Popp, topscorer at the Under 20 World Cup (76.), Melanie Behringer (79.) and Celia Okoyino da Mbabi (83.) hit the target to bring World Champions Germany a comfortable lead.

Germany coach Silvia Neid said: "In first half we weren't consequent enough, but then we got the Canadians tired."
