Adding an educational touch to the German men's national team's tour of the USA, DFB outfitter adidas has spared no effort to obtain tickets to tonight's NBA game between title holders Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers.
"Our players are thrilled to be given a chance to watch some Basketball played at the highest level", said assistant coach Hansi Flick on Thursday in Miami, where the German squad has set up camp in advance of the two forthcoming international friendly matches against Ecuador (Boca Raton, 29 May 2013) and the USA (Washington, 2 June 2013). "It's part of our philosophy to acquaint players with other sports that maybe they've just been watching from a distance, and we're thinking about including Baseball in the 'curriculum', too."
The Miami Heat's 103-102 home win after extra time on Wednesday was the start of their NBA best-of-seven series against the Pacers.
