German football to remember the victims of this week's plane crash

There will be a minute’s silence before all of the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga games at the weekend, with all of the players also wearing black armbands to honour the victims of this week's plane crash in Colombia. More than 70 people lost their lives in the accident, including numerous players of Brazilian first-division side Chapecoense.

“With the minutes silence and the wearing of black armbands, we’d like to offer our condolences to the families of the victims, those who survived and the football club Chapecoense,” said DFL president Dr. Reinhard Rauball. “This accident is an unbelievable tragedy for the families affected, the whole country and for football in Brazil.”
