Frankfurt come from behind to beat Hannover

Eintracht Frankfurt continued their impressive season, which sees them currently sitting third in the Bundesliga, with qualification for the quarter finals of the DFB Cup. They had no easy task in their match-up with Hannover 96, but despite falling behind in the second half they were able to turn things around and get a 2-1 win.

Harnik puts Hannover ahead

Hannover took a surprise lead in the 57th minute thanks to Austrian striker Martin Harnik. It came somewhat against the run of play as Niko Kovac's side had been dominant for much of the game up to that point. The lead did not last long, though. Just five minutes after Hannover went ahead, Eintracht were back on level terms. Taleb Wawatha levelled the scores. Just four minutes after that, Haris Seferovic completed his team's comeback and put them ahead for the first time in the game.

Hannover had the chance to level things up once more in the dying moments when Artur Sobiech was brought down in the penalty area in stoppage time. Salif Sané stepped up, but Lucas Hradecky parried the ball away brilliantly to see his team through to the next stage.
