Frankfurt and Hamburger SV share goalless draw

Frankfurt and Hamburger SV shared the spoils after a 0-0 draw after the last of Saturday’s Matchday 25 Bundesliga fixtures.

The visitors started the stronger and nearly took the lead through Lewis Holtby before the home side got stronger after the half hour. Eintracht were noticeably unconvincing going forward and missed Makoto Hasebe and Jesus Vallejo, who were both out with injury, at the back. They were able to celebrate the comeback of Marco Russ to the line-up, who made his start since May last year following his battle with cancer.

The point sees Hamburg stay in touch with the rest of the pack in the relegation play-off place with 27 points, while Frankfurt remain in the European places in seventh.
