Frank Wormuth, long-time head of coaching courses at DFB will leave his post at the end of March to join Dutch Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo, where he will become head coach as of 1st July 2018. Wormuth took over from Erich Rutemöller at the Hennes Weisweller Academy in 2008, where he taught the highest-level professional coach training course. In addition to that role, he also lectured in football-coaching, methodology and education in action.
The 64th year of the professional coach training course comes to its conclusion on 19th March, when successful graduates will be presented in Frankfurt am Main with their diplomas. This year's students will be the last to graduate under the direction of the 57-year-old. From 2010 to 2016, the man-born-in-Berlin was coach of the Germany U20 national team. Wormuth will replace John Stegeman at Heracles Almelo, who currently sit ninth in the Eredivisie.

With his engaging, meticulous and innovative approach, he has undoubtedly taken the Hennes Weisweller Academy to the next level. He has taught the professional coach training course for the last ten years and I can only thank him for the work he has done there. We are sorry that he is leaving DFB but we respect his decision to want to develop and work hands-on with a team every day out on the pitch. We wish him all the best in his new challenge in the Dutch Eredivisie."
