Bayern München celebrated their third win in as many games of the Bundesligaafter beatin 1. FC Nürnberg in a bavarian derby 2-0. As well as Bayer Leverkusen (4-2 vs. Mönchengladbach) and Mainz 05 (2-0 vs. Wolfsburg), the reigning champions draw level with leaders Borussia Dortmund. Schalke 04 are looking for their form and drop to 14th position with only one point after losing 1-2 at Hannover.
Dortmund had opened Round three on Friday by beating Werder Bremen 1-0, defending the top of the league.
