Favorites Frankfurt win German Cup for the ninth time

1. FFC Frankfurt have won their ninth DFB Cup after beating Bundesliga rivals SGS Essen with three first half strikes 3-0 (3-0) in Köln in front of 16.623 spectators.

The first attack led to the first Frankfurt goal with Kozue Ando scoring after a brilliant one-two between Kerstin Garefreks and Fatmire Alushi. Afterwards Essen had the better of the match, but two corners decided the match.

The first Peggy Kuznik headed in after 28 minutes, Essen goalie Lisa Weiß misjudging the cross. After 36 minutes Simone Laudehr was left alone on the far post to make it 3-0.
