FC Schalke 04 will play against Ajax Amsterdam in the Europa League quarter-final. The draw took place at UEFA’s headquarters located in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday afternoon. The Royal Blues are set to first play away against their Dutch opponents on 13th April, before hosting them in the return-leg on 20th April in Gelsenkirchen’s Veltnis Arena. S04 have Leon Goretzka, amongst others, to thank for their 2-2 second-leg draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach, which guaranteed them to be one of the eight remaining teams left in the Europa League.
The Europa League final is scheduled for 24th May in Sweden’s Friends Arena located in the district of Solna, Stockholm.
