Emre Can out for six weeks through injury

Germany international Emre Can suffered ligament damage to his ankle in Liverpool‘s 4-3 second leg win over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League. The midfielder will be out for between four and six weeks because of the injury. The 22-year-old regular is likely to not feature again for Liverpool during the current season.

Can was substituted with the score at 3-3 in the 80th minute on Thursday. After the final whistle, he limped back out onto the pitch with a bandage around his ankle to celebrate his team’s victory.
