Emre Can and Liverpool draw 1-1 with Chelsea

Emre Can and his Liverpool side, managed by Jürgen Klopp, rescued a point against Chelsea thanks to an injury-time equaliser from Christian Benteke. Chelsea had taken the lead in the first half through a great solo goal from Eden Hazard but Benteke’s late header meant that the sides left Anfield with a point apiece following a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool could yet take sixth place from West Ham on the final day of the season but still have a fantastic chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League. They take on Sevilla next Wednesday in the UEFA Europa League final knowing that a win would see them enter the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition next season.
